My Sick Little Boy!!

LOOK wHo iS ONE!!!

I know I am so behind on blogging...but there is a good excuse! I have had 2 sick sick kids, plus a sick mom...ME!!

Karston had a good birthday...I think!! He turned 1 on December 22. It is pretty crazy having a birthday 3 days before Christmas. Poor guy, but we had a great time! Jay came home early thanks to the snow! Speaking of snow, it was a blizzard the day I had Karston. We drove to the hospital in a snow storm, so I thought it was cool it was snowing! After running errands and getting ready for Karston's party we came home to this...

Uncle Hyrum and Kyle built Karston this awesome snowman! It was adorable. There was also a little one in the front! So cute...thanks uncle Hyrum! It was a big hit!

Jaydyn had her preschool Christmas program right before Karston's party. It was adorable. They sang Christmas songs and each had a little part where they either dressed up or said something. Jaydyn had a speaking part and memorized her lines to a tee! She did such a good job! I did take pictures, but with such a crappy camera they didn't turn out and were too dark! I did get it on the camcorder though!

We got home just in time to celebrate my big boy's birthday!! It's kind of sad they don't really know what's going on and that it is their special day, but is sure is fun celebrating!! He did pretty good opening his presents with a lot of help from his sisters and cousins. I think he was a little overwhelmed! We always have a great crowd at birthdays!!

THE CAKE...

I loved his cake! They do such a great job at Dippidee's. It was delicious too! Karston also got his very own Christmas cake. ( I about got a cute little white snowman cake, but Jay said it was too small) This is what we ended up with...

This little guy didn't hesitate when we brought him his very own cake! Since we got a little preview with the pie insident!! He tore into that thing like there was no tomorrow! He loved it! He loves his food, so he was in heaven with a cake! He ate so much of it. He put on a great show, and I am sure he loved all the attention! He is such a happy boy!

The aftermath! He was such a mess...just look at that tub water. GROSS!!

So, later that night, we clean him up, put him to bed...he was so done at 9:00. He usually goes to bed at 8. Everybody goes home around midnight, and at three in the morning I hear Karston freaking out. He had puked his whole cake up. Pure black frosting all over his bed! I have never seen so much throw up from one little boy in my life! Poor kid got so sick! Ever since that early morning, my little guy has been so sick!! I just thought it was from eating so much cake, then later that night he threw up again at a Christmas party at my mom's. He is definalty sick. His Dr.'s office wouldn't be open again until Monday, but I thought for sure he would be better by then. Nope, I was so wrong. Yesterday he had his one year well check appointment anyway so I took him in and he has double ear infections, fever, strep...a weird strep where they get it around there little bums, a sore throat, constipation, and an upset stomach with the vomitting, and lots of mucas he is trying to throw up as well. He hasn't ate anything for a week!! So sad! It's been a long week! While we were at the Dr.'s I had him look at Saydey because she has sores all over in her mouth and her tonsils are so swollen she can hardly talk. You can see how big they are just by looking at her neck. Oh, she has strep as well! We have gone through almost a full bottle of motrin in one week. I got sick in the middle of all this...throwing up and all the crap that comes along with that. But that only lasted about a day and a half! So don't come around the Murphy house unless you wanna get sick!!! Karston and Saydey are now on antibiotics and will hopefully start getting better by tomorrow!! I am sure the cake started it all off...Dang it!

A reminder that he hasn't ate in 6 days...so I am sure he lost a couple pounds. I know he did because he feels so much lighter to me and the rolls on his legs are disapering!

The stuff he is doing:

* Says mama, dada, and nigh nigh (night night)

*He waves when he is going to bed or to say goodbye

*No teeth...still (Dr. says he still has awhile)

*Starting to yell back at Saydey instead of crying because it used to scare him

*When he gets into the car in his carseat, he immediatly trys to turn on his movie

*Loves the bath

*Not walking yet...when he realizes he is standing by himself, he slowly sits down.

Sorry, I do that more for my records! Sorry such a long post, but I just had to write it all down. Christmas post will be coming soon, so stay tuned!!

4 StItChEs and a BRAVE little girl.

My poor Saydey girl...



What an adventure we had at church yesterday.

It was potty time right before sacerment meeting, and we were on our way out of the bathroom, when Saydey's thumb got smashed in the heavy heavy bathroom door. I didn't even look at it thinking it wasn't that bad, I just grabbed her and tryed to love her.


Then I looked.


And then I knew it wasn't good...there was so much blood I couldn't even see where it was smashed, it just kept gushing blood. There I was in the bathroom with a screaming little girl and paper towels around us soaked with blood. It was nasty.


We all left church and Jay ran her down to the emergency instacare by my house, while I watched Jaydyn and Karston. After waiting there and hour, they sent them to the ER. I got sitters for the kids and I met them down there. They had to sedate her while they x-rayed it and numbed it with 4 shots! She was being pretty funny while sedated, although I didn't like seeing me baby girl like that! It was weird. Meanwhile it's been bleeding this whole time...for about 3 hours straight!


She chipped the bone and had to have 3 stiches and one right through the nail. The nail will end up falling off since it is just hanging there, but he had to cut it and stick the nail back in the nail bed so another nail would grow.
When the Dr. got done wrapping her thumb all up she started playing airplane with her huge thumb, making the noises and everything...she was still sedated. FUNNY girl! She was out of it for the rest of the day.


So sad...20 minutes of sobbing uncontrollably and 4 hours in the ER! What a tough little girl we have. Now she just has one honkin thumb!!

This little guy loves to play in the fridge. So, when I get something out of it, he is right there ready to play. He loves taking out the capri suns and yogurts out of the bottom drawer. Well, I went to change my shirt while he was playing in the fridge because a slurpee spilled all over my shirt at Target just before this incident. When I came back in the kitchen...this is what I found! Dad's cocunt cream pie all over this guy!! I didn't know what the heck it was until I got closer. I didn't even know what to do. So I filmed him eating pie and took pictures. The damage was done, so I let him play in it for about 10 minutes...until he kept trying to pull himself up on me. He was loving it. Screaming at the top of his lungs cuz he was so happy and he knew it was naughty! Not so fun to clean up afterwards!! What a little stinker!!

ThAnKsGiVInG in the SuNsHiNe...

Yes Yes, we went to good ol Phoenix Arizona for Turkey day this year. Our family and then my dad and step mom went to see my sister Danielle. I am so glad we decided to go. We drove...which sucks, but the kids did great. Never again will I drive though!! Jay even drove the whole time both ways. What a guy! I didn't complain. We rented a house in Mesa, which didn't work out. Their pool wasn't heated and that was a huge issue since the kids just love to swim. So that sucked. We ended up staying with Dani and Corey that night, then the next day we found another house, which was ten times better than the first with a heated pool! It was so much fun. The girls would get up every morning and swim with their dad! It was great...the pool was definatly worth it. My dad also stayed with us and that was fun!


We had Thanksgiving at the house we rented because it was huge and perfect for Thanksgiving dinner. I have to say it was a little strange cooking and not just showing up to eat. Danielle, Faith...my step mom, Dani's mother in law and myself cooked Thanksgiving dinner! It was delicious too!! The day before Dani and I made about 6 pies and that was a blast! So Turkey day was a good day!!



Danielle and I went out shopping on Black Friday. We didn't get up super early or anything, we went later but it was still crazy busy and we found some good deals too. Thanks to my step mom who watched my kids while we went. It was so great to see Dani and Kaiya! I have missed them so much. Dani is my best friend and it is so hard having her live 12 hours away! It sucks actually!! It was nice spending a whole week with her and her cute family, although I wish we could have stayed much longer! We sure enjoyed ourselves in the warm weather too, I have to say I just might wanna go to AZ every Thanksgiving...It was beautiful!

We had fun taking these pictures of the girls the last day we were in Arizona. Don't ask me how they all ended up naked, but it sure made the pictures cute. I know my girls are a little old, but I couldn't not post these darling pictures!
