ChRiStMaS ::2010::

We had a wonderful Christmas...and we couldn't have asked for more! I just love this holiday season surrounded by friends and family. It brings ya all a little closer I think and I love that about this time of year! I love watching Christmas movies, drinking hot chocolate with the fire on and the kids all cozy! Also the true meaning of Christmas and what it is really all about is so special and we try to teach the kids and remind them why we celebrate this special day.

Santa did come this year! The kids had a blast and were spoiled rotten! Jaydyn and Saydey didn't really have anything too specific they wanted this year. They did want the bitty baby from American Girl and matching Jammie's so that's what Santa brought them. He also totally surprised them with a barbie convertible they can drive! Whoo hoo! They LOVED it. Karston got a four wheeler that he just LOVES! He didn't really want much to do with his presents at first because he just wanted to sit on his new ride. He did spot Rex the dinosaur of course. Those were his two favorite gifts! It took Karston awhile to finally open all his gifts but he got it done! Jaydyn flew thew her gifts like there was no tomorrow. I had to keep telling her to slow down! She was just too excited! It is so much fun to watch all their faces on Christmas morning. I will hate the day when my kids or just one kid finds out about the real Santa Clause! I hope it is later than sooner that is for sure. It's just so much fun this way for some reason...but it's not all that matters!

Once we got all the gifts opened we at a yummy breakfast casserole I made the night before and just popped in the oven for an hour while we opened presents. It is my grandma Mary's recipe and it's yummy. I think I will make this a tradition every Christmas morning. I know my grandma makes it every year! After breakfast I tried to clean up and organize everything and get the kids ready for the day so Grandma and Grandpa Stanley and Bobbi and Ryan could come over which was nice and relaxing! The kids each got ipod touches and my mom and step dad got new smart phones so it was funny because they were all on the couch on their new devices looking like geeks! It was funny to watch! When they left Jay's mom and sister Vel and her kids came over and hung out for a bit which is always nice! Later that night we went to a movie with my mom and the fam. We went and saw Yogi Bear. Karston wasn't the best during it but the girls loved it. That was the first time we have been to a movie on Christmas. It was kind of weird but fun! We were all so tired by the time we got home we all crashed! It was the perfect Christmas and I am so grateful for my family!

SanTa came!

Karston's four wheeler!
Getting ready to come see what Santa brought them...

ChRiStMaS EVE.

Christmas Eve we went to my mom's house for a late lunch and had the cousins exchange their gifts. It's so fun to watch them. We sure missed Kaiya though! It's times like these when we really really miss Danielle and her sweet family and I know it's even harder on her! But we sure thought about them. Then Grandma and Grandpa gave us our gifts and the grand kids theirs. They got all the kids matching sweats with their nick names on them and matching shirts. Such a cute idea. They always do homemade gifts and it makes it that much more special to all of us! So thanks mom and dad! The kids sure love to get together there. Jay left for a little while to go get some last minute gift for me...yes he wasn't all the way done. He has been slammed with work and hasn't really got a break, so this was his chance! Such a sweetheart!

Karston opening his ROAR...that's what he calls all his dinosaurs!
Saydey opening her MOON DOUGH!
Sayd and Easton got the same moon dough! They were so so excited! Easton is the one who gave Saydey hers, so when Easton opened his first he thought it was Saydey's. He was so excited that it was his! SO CUTE!!
Jaydyn opening her gift...a laptop!
::SiStErS::
Lovin' Santa!
When we got home we opened our Christmas Eve gifts...of course Jammies! Then Jay had to run to Toys R Us to get the two big gifts from Santa. We are true procrastinators! Oh well...we gotter done! Thank goodness...I was starting to stress a little!

Karston crashed on the way home and was not going to wake up to open his present even though we tried. Every year this happens with at least one kid! It was only seven too...so much for doing it early.

Oh my two little posers. I so didn't tell them to do this. Jaydyn came up with the bright idea...I just wish I had one with my Karston in his cute jammies on Christmas Eve.

We had a good Christmas Eve...the girls and the hubby fell asleep to a Christmas movie after we set out chocolate chip cookies, milk and CHOCOLATE milk. After awhile I had to wake Jay up to put everything together...yes we were up until 3:30. We won't ever do that again. We will be more prepared next year!

A WHOLE TwO years old.

A LITTLE eYe cAnDy...

I took these a couple weeks before he turned two. It was cold and we did it in about 5 minutes but he looks AdOrAbLe!
Now for his Birthday...
Karston turned two years old on December 22. We had a little party for him that night with some family. He had so much fun! It was a rainy gloomy day which is funny because the day I had Karston it was a blizzard and last year it was also a blizzard on his birthday so it's just the day of bad weather. That's what we get since it's the second day of winter. He also started not feeling well on this day. He just had a head cold and a little cough. Last year on his birthday he got so so sick and was sick for two weeks. It was awful. Again he is a winter baby! Hopefully we don't have anymore of those. Anyway Karston got spoiled. He got everything he loves...a monkey, dinosaurs, books, cars, shoes, clothes and of course a vacuum! Yes...his very own dirt devil from Grandpa Andy! It was his favorite thing he got I think. We saved that present for last because that's all he wanted to do once it was opened! Thanks Grandpa! My dad thought I was crazy for telling him what he would want and I didn't really think he would get him a real vacuum but he did and Karston LOVES it! My house will be so clean!! Karst opened all his gifts so good. He loved it and knew what to do. I did forget to give him his basketball hoop. I was disappointed at that. We just gave it to him for Christmas so it wasn't that big of a deal, but still. Dinosaurs are also one of his very favorite things so he got some of those. He also got some dinosaur books. Every time he see's dino he roars! It really is adorable!

Opening all his gifts...thank you everyone!

I love this picture.
Dad having more fun with Karston's toys than he was! That's what daddy's are all about.

Opening his very own vacuum.

His MoNkEy cake to match his MoNkEy shirt!

Someone brushed across it so it's a little smeared dang it!

The big UTAH game was also on that night...sadly I don't want to remember that game!
My big boy really is a BIG boy! He is going potty in his big boy potty...he even stands and aims. He is pretty much potty trained. Saydey girl is the one who really got him going. He is my earliest to get trained though. Such a SMART boy!
All tuckered out...I tried to get a good one with his new jammies on like I do with the girls, but that was a no go. He was done!
All his LOOT...minus a thing or two or three.
His Scentsy buddy...he smells oh so GOOD!
