A little GeTaWaY to some SuNsHiNe

ST. GEORGE!

Jay and I decided last minute to take a little trip down south to St. George. Let me tell you...it was heaven. Oh to just feel that sun shining was incredible! It was 6o degrees and perfect. A guy Jay does some work for wanted to take Jay golfing down there so we thought that was the perfect excuse to go. We invited Jay's brother Dan and his family to come with us. We just rented a cute little house that was perfect for us. That's the only way to do it we decided. We went down on Thursday and came back late Sunday night. Let me tell you...it was so hard leaving the warmth to come home to more snow. Jay and Dan went played 18 holes two days. The house we where we were staying was right on a golf course so naturally they had to play that course as well. Fine by us girls, we just hung out with the kids. We were outside a lot! It was awesome. One night we all took the kids swimming at a fun little rec center that they loved! It was a lot of fun! I am sure glad we were able to take the kids and go on such short notice. That's how we roll! I don't mind it that way at all!

The kids just LOVED playing in the red dirt and just being outside in general.
My little Saydey girl who sees a camera and has to do the pose. Jaydyn taught her this one!

Karston and his cheetos!

Ha...Jaydyn thought she would get comfy and enjoy some sunshine herself!

My cheesy boy!

We got all the kids matching swimming suits to go swimming in. They ended up wearing them most of the day...playing in the sand then to the pool to rinse off!

Dan and Kim's little girl Tristyn

One of the days we went to the store and got them some sidewalk chalk. Something to keep them busy and something else to do outside...they made such a mess with that stuff. Holy cow, they just rubbed it all over their bodies and everything they could see! It was fun for them though! So we threw them all in the tub and of course had to have the cool colors to change the water colors. I think they got in the tub twice a day!

Also earlier that day...Jaydyn decided she wanted to cut her hair. So...that's what we did and she looks so adorable! It look so much healthier and thick because she has pretty thin hair. It makes her look so much older too. I am glad we decided to cut it even though she has been trying to grow it out for a couple years.

The last day we went to a park and played and ran around for a couple hours. There was this cool tree the kids loved. They also played tag and got some energy out before the drive home. After the park we went and got ice cream then headed back to the house to pack up.

We had a fun little get away. It was perfect...nice and relaxing and the kids had a blast!

It looks like you guys had an amazing weekend!!! I am now wanting to go to St. George like crazy! Jaydyn's hair looks so cute. We just did the same thing with Sara. Funny, they practically have the same hairstyle now.
